This is my dog Thor, the inspiration behind Animal House Academy, llc.

Hello Everyone!
I am Sandy G. and the idea behind this blog is to share random thoughts, some of my ideas with you. I love learning about how our dogs learn, how their nutrition also plays a role in their learning. So I'll be sharing with you some of my own dogs favorite recipes; and more.
Do you ever make daily training your "goal"?
we wake up in the morning and sure we already have a mile long "to do list" why add another thing to it? to keep you accountable that is. How many times do you ever say to yourself, "I know I should be training Fido, but I don't have enough time." while you just had a few minutes of free time? Adding in your dogs training into your daily routine, even if it's just 10 minutes a day can make a difference. If you know that your dog needs more work on learning how to walk without pulling, start training inside of your house for ten minutes one day, until you are able to make it outside of your house with your dog not pulling on the leash. Put an alarm/timer on your cell phone or watch and at the sound, make it a mega party for training. The next time you start training, your dog will remember the grand finale and will be ready for their next training session with their fun dog handler!
Ten minutes a day? Does it really work?
yes, if ten minutes is all you can afford to invest in your dog right now, it's better then your dog not getting any training at all. Think of it as if you're investing in a relationship, the more you put into the more you get out of it. Many are familiar with the American Kennel Club (AKC) sports, those dogs and their handlers are n'sync because of the minutes upon hours that get poured into their weekly training. So yes, ten minutes a day will not get you an agility sports dog, but will get you a dog that can better engage with you and willingly to train because that's your time set aside for you both and dogs love our company.
Happy Training!
Sandy G. and Thor
