Our FIRST Pack Walk & 5K AKC FIT DOG Spring Scurry!

We’re thrilled to announce an exciting event for our community and their beloved four-legged friends! 

Our FIRST Pack Walk & 5K AKC FIT DOG Spring Scurry! This special event is designed to promote health and wellness for you and your pets through a fun and friendly pack walk, capped off with an exhilarating 5K fast walk for those looking to add a little challenge.

Event Details:

Date: Friday, May 24th, 2024

Time: Virtual Check-in starts at 5:30 PM; Pack Walk begins at 6:00 PM, continuing with the 5K Scurry at 7:00 PM

Location: Raymond H. Neri Community Park, Main Entrance

Route: The walk will cover approximately 1.1 to 3.3 miles of easy nature surrounded terrain trail, suitable for dogs of all sizes and ages. (Walking the trail around the pond 3 times will total 3.3 miles)

Event Highlights:

Pack Walk: A leisurely 1.1, perfect for socializing and enjoying a beautiful spring evening.

5K AKC FIT DOG Spring Scurry: Kick it up and stay to complete the 5K fast (or not so fast) walk, designed as a non-competitive, fun event and in a supportive environment. Earning you a AKC SPRING SCURRY MEDAL!

Registration Includes:

• Custom Event Bandana for your dog
• Finisher’s Medal for your team
• Remote Refreshment station with water and healthy snacks
• Chance to win door prize, at check-in

What to Bring:

• Leash (mandatory for all dogs)
• Water for you and your dog
• Poop bags to keep our park clean
• Your dog’s vaccination records (proof of bordetella and rabies vaccination required)

Safety and Comfort:

• All dogs must be leashed at all times
• All dogs must be well-behaved and comfortable around other dogs and people. It’s okay if your dog barks, they are not robots and it’s just noise!
• Please ensure your dog is up-to-date with their vaccinations. (Proof of Rabies and Bordetella vaccine is required during registration)
• Owners are responsible for their dogs at all times during the walk.
