Helping You Make Informed, Confident Training Choices.
1. What age can dog training begin and why is it important?
Training should begin as soon as your puppy comes home. Early boundary setting helps prevent unwanted behaviors. The socialization window (3–12 weeks) is critical, so expose your puppy safely to new sights, sounds, and experiences. After vaccinations, continue with obedience training.
10. Can you help with housebreaking and potty training?
Yes. It’s included in our Puppy Foundations Program. Visit our blog for helpful tips.
2. How can a professional dog trainer help me and my dog?
We address behavior concerns, teach obedience, guide socialization, and strengthen your bond with your dog.
11. What should I expect during a training session?
Expect 45–60 minutes of hands-on coaching, a training log, lesson plans, and access to support. Most programs end with a certificate.
3. What training methods do you use?
We use force-free, science-based training methods rooted in positive reinforcement, applied ethology, and an understanding of canine behavior. Our approach prioritizes your dog's emotional well-being, builds trust, and teaches practical skills without fear, intimidation, or physical corrections.
4. How long does it typically take to train a dog?
Each dog learns differently, so training duration varies. We tailor our programs to your dog’s needs and goals.
5. Can you train any breed of dog?
Yes! We work with all breeds and sizes—every dog is capable of learning.
6. How much does dog training cost?
Training costs vary depending on your dog's individual needs, location, and the type of training program. Our in-home initial consultation is $75, which is fully credited toward an eligible training plan purchased within 14 days. We'll discuss your training options and recommended programs during your consultation.
7. What types of behavior issues can you help with?
We work with challenges like fear, anxiety, aggression, reactivity, and excessive barking.
8. Do you offer group classes or one-on-one training sessions?
12. Do you offer any guarantees or follow-up support after the training?
While we can't guarantee results due to home consistency, we offer 45 days of trainer support and access to our client Facebook group.
13. What should I do if my dog is fearful or anxious?
We create a personalized plan, starting in neutral environments and progressing at your dog’s comfort level. Ask about our Reactivity Class.
14. Can you help with basic commands like sit, stay, and come?
Yes. Our group classes and private lessons cover all the essential cues.
15. Do you offer training for agility or therapy work?
Not at this time.
16. How do you assess a dog's individual needs and develop a training plan?
We begin with a $75 in-home consultation, where we discuss your dog's history, behavior, daily routine, and training goals. We observe your dog's body language, emotional responses, and overall comfort to recommend a personalized training plan. Your full $75 consultation fee is credited toward an eligible training plan purchased within 14 days of your appointment.
