At Animal House Academy, we believe dog training should strengthen the relationship between dogs and the people who love them. Our approach is force-free, science-based, and rooted in positive reinforcement, with each dog's emotional well-being at the heart of everything we do.
Every dog is an individual, and training should reflect that. We focus on building trust, confidence, communication, and practical skills that help dogs and their families succeed together in everyday life.

I'm a force-free, positive reinforcement dog trainer dedicated to helping dogs and their families build stronger relationships through trust, communication, and understanding.

My approach is grounded in behavioral science, with each dog's emotional well-being at the heart of every training plan. I specialize in puppy development, household manners, fearfulness, reactivity, and behavioral challenges.

As an AKC Evaluator, I enjoy helping dogs and their handlers develop practical skills, build confidence, and achieve their training goals.

Professional Education & Continuing Development

I'm committed to continuing my education and staying informed about the science of canine behavior and learning. I've completed courses and earned certificates through AKC Canine College, SpiritDog Academy, and Nordic Dog Trainers, along with Michael Ellis's marker training program and puppy training coursework developed by Victoria Stilwell.
​
I'm currently studying Kim Brophey's L.E.G.S. Applied Ethology framework to deepen my understanding of dogs as individuals and how their genetics, learning, environment, and sense of self influence behavior.

Hi, I'm Carrie! I'm a dog trainer and the Georgia Location Manager for Animal House Academy, proudly serving dogs and their families in Thomasville, GA.
